Trump supporter Elon Musk has responded to the alleged attempted assassination of the former US president with a provocative post. On his online platform X, he wrote: “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala.” He put an emoticon with a thoughtful face behind the words.

After the shooting near Trump on Sunday, the FBI suspects a planned assassination attempt on the former president. Only in mid-July, Trump was hit in the right ear by a bullet at a campaign rally in the state of Pennsylvania.
Most recently, Musk had mockingly responded to a post by US superstar Taylor Swiftt in which she announced her decision to support Harris. Harris and Trump are roughly neck and neck in polls. Both want to win over undecided voters. (dpa)
