After the national football team’s top start in the Nations League, national coach Julian Nagelsmann is looking forward to the showdown with arch-rivals the Netherlands that will follow soon after. “I’m looking forward to it. They also scored five goals. Holland has a very, very good team and a lot of potential when it comes to individual players. I’m excited,” said Nagelsmann after the DFB team’s 5-0 win against Hungary at the start of the Nations League.

The Netherlands started Group 3 of the A League on Saturday evening with a 5:2 win against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Eindhoven after two late goals. The top match will now take place in Amsterdam on Tuesday (8.45 p.m./RTL). Germany and the Netherlands are considered the favorites for first and second place in the group, which would mean a place in the quarter-finals of the Nations League.

In the press conference after the Hungary match in the Düsseldorf stadium, Nagelsmann recalled the 2-1 win against the Dutch in Frankfurt last March. “The game we had in preparation for the European Championship wasn’t that easy, I have to say. We’re really looking forward to it,” said Nagelsmann.
