BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 10 – Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) and Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) need to work together to plan to increase returns and support business growth to remain competitive in the future.
It is because cost management is the main value driver for the long-term sustainability of BSJV and BGC companies.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah emphasized this matter when he was pleased to grant the order while chairing the 412th Brunei Shell Oil Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) Board of Directors Meeting and the Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd Board of Directors Meeting (BSM) 190th for the Third Quarter of 2024, at the Prime Minister’s Department, today.
Considering the extensive activities of BSJV and BGC companies in Brunei Darussalam with vendors and contractors, the Sultan emphasized the need for cooperation with relevant agencies to uphold high integrity in all activities.
The Sultan’s departure was welcomed by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) and the Second Minister of Finance and Economy, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and the Deputy Minister (Energy) in the JPM, Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah as members of the Board of Directors of BSP and BSM.
The meeting began with a prayer by the Mosque Affairs Officer, Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran.
The meeting, which marked the end of the 2024 Third Quarter Board Meeting for this year, discussed the latest developments in important areas such as operations, security, finance and human resource development as well as BSP and BSM’s long-term strategies for the coming years and next
Also present at the meeting, stakeholders included shareholder directors representing Her Majesty’s government, Shell plc and Mitsubishi Corporation as well as leadership members from BSP and BSM.
