Singer Selena Gomez’s act of donating cash worth US$20 to a homeless person received criticism from netizens, revealed mStar.
Either way, the amount given to Selena is said to be too little and does not coincide with her reputation as an art millionaire.
In a video that went viral on social media, Selena was seen walking out of a luxury restaurant while interacting with several fans.
Selena then handed the money over to the man and told him to buy food.
“Buy delicious food with this money,” he said.
Meanwhile, the average netizen on social media criticized Selena’s good intentions and described the singer as stingy.
“Worth US$50, what a misvalue that is in New York. I can’t even buy a pack of cigarettes.
“Even though he is a millionaire but stingy, US$100 is like a gap in his teeth if he gives it,” he said.
