Ice hockey national player JJ Peterka started his preparations for the new NHL season in impressive form before the trip to Germany. The 22-year-old from Munich scored three goals in the Buffalo Sabres’ 7:3 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Sabres will face Peterka’s former team EHC Red Bull Munich in Bavaria on September 27th.
“It’s a dream come true for me. My whole family and friends will be there live. I have such a strong connection to the city and the club. Playing with the Sabres against my former club is very special,” Peterka said in a recent interview with “Sports Illustrated”. Before the trip to Munich, Buffalo has three more test matches, including one against the Ottawa Senators with Tim Stützle.
