The AfD can celebrate its best result to date in the state capital with 15.6 percent, but does not manage to win a direct mandate. The party had wanted to score points in the south of Potsdam in particular. But its candidate there, Chaled-Uwe Said, remained at 23.8 percent, and his competitor Daniel Keller (SPD) clearly outperformed him.
