No injuries reported in 2 intersection crashes along Fairmount: Hunting Valley Police Blotter

HUNTING VALLEY, Ohio

Car crash: Fairmount Boulevard, County Line Road

Police responded to a car accident at 8:26 a.m. Sept. 11, when a 2012 GMC Yukon, owned by a Garrettsville man, was southbound on County Line Road and the driver did not see the stop sign at Fairmount Boulevard.

The Yukon, going about 30 mph, struck an eastbound 2022 Tesla owned by a Burton man, traveling across the intersection, hitting it on an angle and causing disabling damage to both autos, with no injuries reported.

The accident report listed no citations, with both drivers showing proof of insurance.

Car crash: Fairmount Boulevard, SOM Center Road

Both drivers and one passenger escaped injury in an accident at 11:10 p.m. Sept. 15, when a westbound 2021 HR-V owned by a Shaker Heights woman was stopped in traffic at the SOM Center Road (Route 91) intersection for a red light.

At that point, a southbound 2003 Volvo V40 station wagon owned by a Euclid man was coming through the intersection, starting to make a left turn from Route 91 onto Fairmount.

The driver said the steering went out on the Volvo, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic, striking the Honda on an angle. The Volvo, with a Cleveland Heights woman also in the car, had disabling damage and requiring a tow.

The Honda could still be driven, with damage to the driver’s side and quarter panel.

No citations were listed on the accident report, with both drivers showing proof of insurance.
