A North Olmsted woman died Friday after veering into oncoming traffic and crashing her car into a semi truck on U.S. Route 20 in Lorain County.
WKYC reports that Tammy Alam, 51, veered left of center into oncoming traffic while driving eastbound on Route 20 near Quarry Road, colliding with a semi truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. and closed Route 20 for about six hours, according to WKYC. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Troopers do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor, per WKYC.
