CLEVELAND, Ohio — So, what can drivers in Northeast Ohio expect to encounter while navigating the construction zones on the region’s highways?
The Ohio Department of Transportation has released its weekly update of new detours and delays for the coming weeks.
I-77 just south of East Wallings Road will have various lane restrictions from Sunday through Wednesday between 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for traffic-counter installation.
I-480 at Ohio 176 will have nightly lane restriction beginning Sept. 27 and continuing through mid-October between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving.
U.S. 422 over the LaDue Reservoir will have various lane restrictions beginning Monday and continuding through mid-October.
The following lane restrictions and closures will be in place Friday through Monday at 5 a.m. for bridge repairs.
I-480 westbound over the Norfolk Southern railroad will have various lane restrictions.
U.S 422 eastbound over Miles Road will have various lane restrictions.
U.S. 422 westbound to I-480 westbound ramp over Richmond Road will be closed. The detour will utilize I-271 northbound.
The following locations will have various shoulder closures for rumble strip restoration from Friday until Sept. 27 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
I-480 westbound between Miles Road and Northfield Road.
U.S. 422 westbound between Harper Road and Cannon Road.
U.S. 422 westbound between Miles Road and Richmond Road.
U.S. 422 eastbound between Richmond Road and Miles Road.
Ohio 87 between Ohio 306 and the Cuyahoga County line has various lane restrictions maintained by flaggers through late September for resurfacing.
Ohio 44 at Butternut Road has various lane restrictions maintained by a temporary traffic signal through late September for a culvert replacement.
Ohio 608 between U.S. 322 and Ohio 528 will have various daily restrictions maintained by flaggers through September.
Ohio 86 just west of Rock Creek Road is reduced to one lane maintained by a temporary traffic signal through early September for culvert replacement.
Ohio 87 just east of Hillbrook Lane is reduced to one lane maintained by a temporary traffic signal through July 2025 for culvert replacement.
Ohio 700 just south of Tavern Road is reduced to one lane maintained by a temporary traffic signal through early September for culvert replacement.
Ohio 168 between Patch Road and Shed Road has various lane restrictions maintained by flaggers through October.
Ohio 306 under U.S. 422 is reduced to one lane in each direction weekly between Fridays at 8 p.m. through Mondays at 8 a.m. through September.
Ohio 87 between Ohio 306 and the Cuyahoga County line has various lane restrictions maintained by flaggers through late September for resurfacing.
Ohio 44 at Butternut Road has various lane restrictions maintained by a temporary traffic signal through late September for a culvert replacement.
Ohio 608 between U.S. 322 and Ohio 528 will have various daily restrictions maintained by flaggers through September.

Ohio 306 under U.S. 422 is reduced to one lane in each direction weekly between Fridays at 8 p.m. and Mondays at 8 a.m. through September.
Ohio 2 from just west of the Ohio 58 interchange to the Murray Ridge Road bridge will have single-lane closures for a minor rehabilitation project.
Ohio 2 eastbound at the structure over North Leavitt Road will have single-lane closures for full depth bridge deck repairs until October.
Ohio 2 eastbound at the structure over the Vermilion River, just east of Ohio 60, will have single-lane closures for full depth bridge deck repairs until November.
U.S. 6 in the city of Lorain from West 21st Street to Arkansas Avenue will have single-lane closures for roadway reconfiguration until December.
I-90 from the Ohio Turnpike Plaza to the west of the Center Road interchange will have nightly pavement repairs from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. until October.
Ohio 303 between Hawley Road north and south will close Monday for a culvert replacement. The detour route for eastbound motorists will be Ohio 303 to Ohio 58 north to U.S. 20 east to Ohio 301 south to Ohio 303, and reverse. Estimated completion is Sept. 27.
Ohio 511 at the railroad tracks just north of Stewart Road will close Monday for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists will be Ohio 511 to U.S. 224 east to Ohio 58 north to Ohio 162 west to Ohio 511, and reverse. Estimated completion is Sept. 28.
Ohio 611 in Lorain from U.S. 6 to Colorado Avenue will have single-lane closures for a resurfacing project. Estimated completion is October.
Ohio 18 between Ohio 83 and Bryenton Road will have single-lane closures for 225 days to complete project work. Traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic signals. Estimated completion is November.
Ohio 57 between Ohio 162 and I-71 is closed for 30 days for a culvert replacement. The detour route for southbound motorists is Ohio 57 to Ohio 162 west to Ohio 3 south to U.S. 224/I-76 east to Ohio 57, and reverse. Estimated completion is Oct. 3.
Ohio 94 just north of Ohio 303 is closed for 30 days for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is Ohio 94 to Ohio 303 west to Ohio 3 north to Ohio 82 east to Ohio 94, and reverse. Estimated completion is Oct. 3.
Ohio 94 at the south leg of the Ohio 94/Ohio 162 traffic circle will have lane closures for resurfacing and drainage work. Estimated completion is October.
The Ohio 94 entrance ramp to I-271 north will close from 7 p.m. Monday at 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday for resurfacing.
The I-271 northbound exit ramp to Ohio 94 will close at 7 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday for resurfacing.
The Ohio 94 entrance ramp to I-271 south will close at 7 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday for resurfacing.
The I-271 southbound exit ramp to Ohio 94 will close at 8 p.m. Sept. 26 until 6 a.m. Sept. 27 for resurfacing.
Ohio 43 between Evergreen Drive and Frost Road is reduced to one lane in each direction through late November for roadway widening.
Ohio 59 between the western Ravenna corporation limit and the eastern Ravenna corporation limit has various lane restrictions through late September for resurfacing.
Ohio 305 just east of Ohio 700 is closed through early October for a bridge replacement. The detour is Ohio 82 to Ohio 88.
Ohio 8/I-77 south at the Central Interchange will be closed at 10 p.m. on Sept. 26 through 5 a.m. Sept. 27. The detour is I-76 west to I-76/Kenmore Leg to I-277 east to I-77.
Ohio 8/I-77 north at the Central Interchange will be closed through at 10 p.m. on Sept. 26 through 5 a.m. Sept. 27. The detour is I-76 east to Arlington Street/Kelly Avenue to I-76 west to Ohio 8 north.
Ohio 21 northbound under I-77 has occasional nightly closures through mid-October. The detour is I-77 southbound to Ridgewood Road to I-77 northbound.
The ramp from Glenwood Avenue to Ohio 8 southbound will be closed daily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning Oct. 14 and continuing through late October. The detour is Glenwood Avenue to Howard Street to Tallmadge Avenue.
The ramp from Ohio 46 south to Ohio 82 east is closed through late spring 2025. The detour is Ohio 82 west to Elm Road to Ohio 82 east.
