Northeast Ohio weekend forecast: Chance for showers and then sunshine returns

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Get ready for a cooler weekend that will start with some showers and end with more sunshine.

The National Weather Service’s forecast for this weekend calls for highs in the low 60s Friday and upper 50s on both Saturday and Sunday. Rain showers are possible throughout the day Friday while the remainder of the weekend looks to be mostly clear and sunny. Overnight lows each night are expected to drop into the low 40s or even the upper 30s later in the weekend.

Lake Erie marine forecast

The current water temperature on Lake Erie off of Cleveland is 62 degrees. Expect rain and highs around 60 on Friday followed by sunny skies and highs in the mid 50s both Saturday and Sunday. Wave heights of 2-3 feet can be expected by Saturday before settling down to less than a foot by Sunday evening.

Work week forecast

Sunny conditions are expected to continue the first part of next week with highs in the upper 60s Monday and mid 70s Tuesday.
