Artist Fauziah Ahmad Daud advises male actors who wish to win an Academy Award or Oscar to improve their acting if they want to achieve their dreams.
Fauziah or more affectionately called Ogy said, he saw a few new actors just spouting dialogue but not really delving into the characters they were playing.
“Actually, it’s not wrong if we think globally, but I’ve watched the acting of this actor. Frankly I want to say from an artist, he has a lot to learn. When you speak the dialogue and how you get into the character given to deliver the dialogue. If I say more, the actor might not understand. But many (actors) only speak dialogue but do not enter into the character,” he said mStar.
Ogy shared that when met at the press conference of the theater performance Behind the Mask which was held at the Dewan Bahasa Pustaka Store, Kuala Lumpur yesterday evening.
In the meantime, Fauziah advised the actor to find his soul in his acting to strengthen his skills and knowledge as an artist.
“The actor has to learn a lot more, explore himself more because when you want to get into a character, you don’t just look at the characteristics of the character but as a whole.
“The mind needs to think, the soul needs to feel, breathing, movement, the feeling of the body all need to be taken into account. So there are many things that need to be done, not just acting,” he said.
Even so, the Azura movie actress said she did not underestimate the actor’s desire to win an award abroad. In fact, Ogy supports the actor to continue working hard to realize his dream and prove to netizens that nothing is impossible.
“If it is his dream because dreams are free but if the award is what you want, try hard to get it. Prove that you can win an Oscar, God willing, but you have to learn, don’t play as long as you can. Don’t just have hair to be beautiful, wear contact lenses, acting is not just that (take care of your appearance) sister. All the best sister,” he explained.
Not only that, Ogy also said that to achieve that success, it takes decades of experience to take the example of famous stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh.
“You (actors) also have to remember that Leonardo took decades to win his first Oscar. So did Brad Pitt, Al Pacino and our country’s actress, Michelle Yeoh.
“Having that dream is great I welcome it. So if you keep that dream, you have to do something, not just talk. Start looking for knowledge in the field of acting, then you will appreciate this art,” he said again. – Agency
