According to current data, heating with oil and gas could be cheaper in the coming winter than in the previous heating season. On average, natural gas is 6 percent cheaper across the country than it was a year ago, and heating oil is even 23 percent cheaper, according to the newspapers of the Funke Media Group, citing an analysis by the comparison portal Verivox.

With regard to the sharp price increase two years ago, Verivox expert Thorsten Storck said: “Gas prices are currently around 47 percent lower than during the energy crisis.” At present, 11.41 cents per kilowatt hour are due. Light heating oil costs 92 euros per 100 liters. In addition to the fuel price, the heating bill depends, among other things, on how cold the winter is.
