Coach Hansi Flick will have to do without attacker Dani Olmo for several weeks at FC Barcelona. The Spanish European football champion has sustained an injury to his right thigh and, according to a club statement from the Catalans, will be out for an estimated four to five weeks. On Sunday he scored a goal in Barcelona’s 4-1 victory over FC Girona. Olmo was substituted after around an hour.
The 26-year-old only moved from RB Leipzig to Barcelona in the last transfer window and has already impressed there. He scored three goals in three games. With five wins in five matches, Barça leads the table in the Primera División. Former national coach Flick has been coaching the team since this summer.
