Open Streets ICT will be held Sunday in downtown

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Open Streets ICT will be held in downtown Wichita on Sunday, Oct. 13, from noon to 5 p.m.

The City of Wichita says traffic will be closed off for more than four miles on Douglas from College Hill at Bluff Street to Glenn Street in the historic Delano District beginning at 10 a.m. The streets will reopen by 6 p.m.

For five hours, Wichitans and visitors can walk, bike, or skateboard along Douglas. Participants can stop at activity hubs, shop businesses, and visit food and street vendors while listening to music. The City asks that pets be kept on a leash, and water stations for dogs will be available along the route.

Wichita Transit will offer free rides on the Q-Line trolley during the event on First and Second Streets from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shuttle will run from 2nd and Oliver to 2nd and Waco, then circle back up 1st Street to Oliver.
