“Minari” Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung has joined Season 2 of “Beef.”

Netflix officially announced on Wednesday that the series, from Lee Sung Jin and A24, would return for a second season with Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.

The logline for the eight-episode Season 2 goes as follows: “A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”

Youn is best known for her Academy Award-winning performance in 2020’s “Minari,” in which she starred opposite “Beef” Season 1 star Steven Yeun. She became the first Korean to win an acting Oscar.

Youn’s credits also include Apple TV+’s “Pachinko.” The 77-year-old Youn’s career in film and television spans over five decades.

“Beef” was originally a limited series starring Yeun and Ali Wong that became a breakout hit on Netflix and won eight Emmys — including for best limited series, directing, writing and acting for both Yeun and Wong. The series also took home four Critics Choice Awards, three Golden Globes and two SAG Awards.

In Season 1, Yeun and Wong played Danny Cho and Amy Lau, two strangers in Los Angeles whose lives become entangled after a road rage incident.

Lee is the creator and showrunner of “Beef,” and he executive produces Season 2 alongside Jake Schreier, Yeun and Wong.
