The sports shooter Natascha Hiltrop has surprisingly won the gold medal at the Paralympics. At the shooting sports center in Châteauroux, the 32-year-old won the 50-meter small-bore rifle competition. Thanks to the last shot, the paraplegic overtook the Slovakian Veronika Vadovicova, who had previously been in the lead. Hiltrop won gold with the air rifle in Tokyo three years ago.

This is the third gold medal for the German Disabled Sports Association at the Games in Paris. Swimmers Tanja Scholz and Josia Tim Alexander Topf had previously triumphed.
