T-ara member Park Ji Yeon and baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun are in the process of divorce after two years of marriage.
The matter was confirmed by Ji Yeon, 31, who informed that there was no understanding as the reason for their decision to divorce.
“Hello, this is Ji Yeon. First of all, I would like to apologize for wanting to inform you of the sad news that happened in my household. Jae Gyun and I have agreed to end our marriage,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jae Gyun explained in a statement that the difference in personality was the reason for their separation. The athlete added that he and Ji Yeon agreed to continue to support each other and move forward in their respective careers.
“Ji Yeon and I agreed to divorce after much consideration due to personality differences. We submitted a divorce application to the Seoul Family Court and plan to complete the process amicably.
“Even though our relationship as a couple is about to end, we will continue to support each other to move forward. I sincerely apologize to our fans for any disappointment caused by this,” he explained.
Visiting Ji Yeon’s Instagram, the singer is seen trying to forget her husband by deleting all pictures and videos involving Jae Gyun. In fact, all videos featuring Jae Gyun on Ji Yeon’s YouTube channel were also deleted.
