BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 6 – Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) has announced that it will hold Discover UBD Challenge 2024a treasure hunt challenge scheduled to take place on October 27.
During the press conference held this afternoon, the event is expected to be a thrilling adventure when participants are required to find hidden treasures while exploring the UBD campus.
Present during the press conference was Associate Professor Pengiran Dr Mohd Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra and Head of Alumni Relations and Advertising Development Office and Co-Chairman of Discover UBD Challenge, Lim Kok Shien.
According to them, the event, which is also in conjunction with National Family Day 2024, is designed to promote cooperation, thinking, and communication that promotes problem solving and cooperation involving individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Through Discover UBD Challenge regarding, participants have the opportunity to learn more about the history and values ​​of Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
According to the explanation in the press conference earlier, this event is very meaningful for new students when they can build pride and a sense of belonging, while UBD alumni will have the best opportunity to reconnect with alma mater them. This event is also in line with the spirit of National Family Day, as a way for families to come together and share experiences.
As part of UBD’s commitment to giving back, 10 percent of event profits will be donated to the Fund Endowments UBD.
Discover UBD Challenge will take place from 6 am to 12 noon at the UBD campus. Registration for this event has been open since August 23 and will close on September 30. The entry fee is $100.00 per team for UBD students, staff, alumni, and family members, while members of the public and corporate teams are invited to participate with a fee of $120.00 per team. Each team must consist of four members with a minimum age requirement of 12 years. Entries will receive an exclusive race kit, including shirts, folding fans, bags, and parking passes for each team.
