BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 9 OCT – To increase the knowledge of the participants in the art of reciting the Al-Quran among converts, the Islamic Dakwah Center (PDI) through the Muallaf Development Division (Tarbiyah Muallaf) organized the Launching Ceremony of the Al-Qur’an Tarannum Art Class for Converts in all four districts, as well as the opening of the Sengkurong Branch’s Mualaf Guidance Class this morning.
The ceremony was officiated by the Assistant Director of PDI, Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the guest of honor.
According to the guest of honor in his speech, he said, in the framework of efforts and to ensure that the learning of Islamic religious knowledge among converts can continue to be conveyed.
The initiative is under the Muallaf Development Division (Muallaf Tarbiyah) with the aim of preparing converts who want to participate in the AI-Qur’an Reading Musabaqah at the national level and the next level.
He understood that a branch of the Mualaf Guidance Class will be opened in this mosque which will be joined by the mualaf who live nearby so that they can learn and refine the recitation of the Qur’an and Fardhu ‘ain.
Converts can also learn knowledge related to Fardhu ‘Ain such as Fiqh Thaharah, Fiqh Salat, Tawhid or Aqidah, Morality, Iqra’, Religious Practices such as remembrance and prayers, Islamic history and other Islamic religious knowledge with teaching methods which is effective, he added.
Today’s ceremony was also continued with the opening of a new branch of the Convert Guidance Class at the Sultan Sharif Ali Sengkurong Mosque.
To date, a total of 18 convert guidance classes have been opened in all four districts, including one class that uses an online platform.
Also present was Penghulu Mukim Sengkurong, Dr Awang Haji Abdullah Hanif bin OKM Dinda Haji Saman.
