YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A police officer shot and killed a suspect Tuesday evening after reports of a stabbing inside a Dollar General store, reports say.
Police tell WFMJ Channel 21 a male suspect was dead inside the store after the shooting. A woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but reports did not specify if she had been stabbed or also had been wounded in the shooting.
Officers responded to the store at about 5 p.m. after receiving reports of a “disturbance” with a knife, WKBN Channel 27 reports. One officer fired at the suspect, reports say.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting, reports say.
