Match winner Tim Kleindienst sees Borussia Mönchengladbach well on its way to higher regions of the table. “It’s good to see that things are getting going and things are developing,” said the new signing after his team’s 2-0 win against VfL Bochum, to which he contributed a goal (61′) and an assist (78′).
Like Kleindienst, Kevin Stöger also spoke of a positive trend: “We did very well in the first games of the season. I think it’s fun to watch Gladbach at the moment.”
Significant progress
As was the case with the unfortunate 2:3 defeat against defending champions Leverkusen a week ago, Bochum, who finished 14th in the table last season, also made clear progress. The two new signings Kleindienst and Stöger once again contributed to this.
Kleindienst executed the move ice cold at the right time and Stöger, who was once a Bochum player, skilfully directed the midfield. “Kevin and Tim are very positive guys who can get others involved. You can see that the others are more energetic as a result,” enthused sports director Roland Virkus.

The strong game increased the joy of the former Heidenheim player Kleindienst on his 29th birthday: “Scoring a goal on your birthday, providing an assist and winning 2-0 away – it couldn’t have been better. It feels extremely good before an international break,” commented the attacker.
