BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 22 – As part of a religious event in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 34th Teacher’s Day Celebration, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) and the Ministry of Education yesterday held a Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital.
Present at the ceremony were the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Honorable Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Director Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and the Minister of Education, the Honorable Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
The ceremony began with a congregational Sunat Hajat prayer to avoid the epidemic and to pray for safety for Brunei Darussalam led by Level I Imam, Omar ‘Ali Saifuddein Mosque, Awang Khairul Ariffin bin Haji Yusop, who also led the congregational Fardu Asar prayer.
The event continued with the reading of Ratib Al-Attas by the Level III Imam of the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Haji Hamdini bin Haji Garip.
While the Prayer of Gratitude and Prayer for the Protection of the Sultan and Brunei Darussalam were read by the Special Level Mosque Affairs Officer, Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Awang Zulkifli bin Haji Murad.
