Change of leadership at the large commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck: The Supervisory Board appointed Board Member Karin Radström (45) as the new Chairwoman with effect from October 1, as the company in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart announced.

Radström succeeds Daimler veteran Martin Daum (64), who will resign early and leave his position on December 31 of this year, shortly before the end of his regular term of office. Until then, Daum will retain his responsibilities for the areas of Financial Services, Daimler Buses and IT, among others, and will support a smooth transition as a member of the Board of Management, the group explained.

Daimler Truck employs more than 100,000 people

Top manager Radström, who comes from Sweden, has been on the manufacturer’s board of management since 2021 and will initially remain responsible for the Europe and Latin America regions and the Mercedes-Benz Trucks brand until her successor is decided. The new mandate runs until 2029.

Daimler Truck says it is one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in the world and employs more than 100,000 people. In the USA, the group has brands such as Freightliner and Western Star. The manufacturer’s product range includes light, medium and heavy trucks.
