Rosman rejoined BAM as head coach of women’s doubles

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 OCT – The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has confirmed the appointment of Rosman Razak as the head coach of the Malaysian women’s doubles, thus answering rumors about the return of the experienced individual to lead the Malaysian squad.

BAM in a statement informed that Rosman, 48, will start work at the Academy of Badminton Malaysia (ABM) Bukit Kiara on November 5.

“We welcome Rosman back with the coaching team. Her experience with the national squad is invaluable and we believe her leadership will play an important role in driving the women’s doubles team to a higher level,” said BAM’s Director of Coaching, Rexy Mainaky.

Rosman who has nearly two decades of experience coaching doubles players will work closely with Rexy, senior squad coach Ching Kai Feng and youth coach Amelia Anscelly.

Their main goal is to strengthen and advance the women’s doubles team.

Meanwhile, Rosman said he was excited to start preparations for the Malaysian national squad.

“I am honored to return to BAM and excited to take on this challenge.

The women’s doubles team has great potential and I look forward to building on the progress achieved so far,” he said in the same statement.

Rosman, whose contract with BAM was not renewed in 2020, later migrated to the Philippines and is currently coaching Malaysian professional men’s doubles, Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi. – Named
