BELAIT, 15 OCT – Students and teachers from Alif School, Kuala Belait, celebrated two important events at the same time in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul and Teacher’s Day in a two-in-one ceremony held at Kampung Pandan Community Hall on 5 October.
The ceremony began with the arrival of students and teachers followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah. The chairman of the school’s Parent and Teacher Association (PIBG), Dayang Nursyukriah binti Haji Omaral, also delivered a brief speech to welcome the presence of parents and guardians who participated in the ceremony.
The head teacher of the school, Dayang Aziemah binti Samat, in her speech emphasized the important role of teachers in the development of students and the celebration aimed to give appreciation and joy for their efforts.
The event continued with the Maulidur Rasul procession involving the students around the hall area, followed by a five-minute prayer.
The ceremony also witnessed the screening of a short video in which the students expressed their appreciation to their teachers, which was followed by a performance of songs of praise to the teachers by the students of the school.
Various interesting activities were also held throughout the evening, including fun games and the presentation of prizes to participating students.
