Following the announced return of Britpop band Oasis (“Wonderwall”) to the stage, a second round of ticket sales has ended. In the evening, the official website said: “Ticket sales have now ended. There are currently no tickets available.”

A first round of more than a dozen concerts in Great Britain and Ireland next year had met with huge demand. The brothers Noel (57) and Liam Gallagher (51), who had been at odds until recently, then announced two additional concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Tickets quickly appeared on resale sites

Many fans were frustrated by the long waiting times in online queues and the dynamic pricing during the first round. Ticket prices sometimes rose to double the original price due to high demand. The government announced that it would review the use of dynamic pricing, which is legal in Great Britain, in this case.

In the second round, only fans who had already registered in the first attempt but were unsuccessful were allowed in. As the British news agency PA reported, tickets appeared on resale websites at significantly higher prices shortly after the sales began. Despite this, according to PA, many fans were satisfied with the ticket sales process.
