LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Sophomore Brayton Feister scored Archbishop Hoban’s go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter. His teammates on defense came up with two interceptions in the fourth quarter, including one to seal Saturday’s 24-21 win at St. Edward with 1:15 left by Tanner Mintz.

See Hoban’s performance in the video above and hear from Feister, Mintz and coach Tim Tyrrell. The Knights (8-2), who are ranked fourth in the cleveland.com Top 25, beat No. 6 St. Edward (5-5) for the first time since 2020 in what’s become an annual conclusion to the regular season.

Feister rushed the football 32 times for 197 yards and his touchdown with 21 seconds left in the third quarter. Hoban rushed for 251 yards as a team, getting first-half scores from senior Tylan “Juice” Boykin and junior Elbert “Rock” Hill IV.

Hill, who came up with the first of Hoban’s two interceptions in the fourth quarter, rushed for 42 yards on six attempts to help the Knights’ offense. Quarterback Trent Hayden completed 5 of 12 passes for 25 yards and two interceptions to St. Edward’s Makhi Boone and Bradley Eaton.

Eaton scored twice on passes from senior quarterback Thomas Csanyi, who completed 15 of 30 passes for 209 yards. Junior Joseph Saffold caught 10 of those passes for 158 yards.
