Israel’s army says it has found several bodies during an operation in the Gaza Strip. “At this time, troops are still deployed in the area and are conducting a process to recover and identify the bodies, which will take several hours,” the military said on social media.
It was initially unclear whether the bodies were Israeli hostages. The army called on the public in a statement to refrain from spreading rumors. There had previously been rumors on social media that hostages had been found.
