For almost a month appearing with a veiled image, actress Shasha Abedul was moved to change her appearance after feeling guilty when she wanted to upload a photo without covering her private parts on her social media.
Shasha, 28, said that because of that feeling, she felt heartbroken and believed that it was a sign of change.
“It came on its own (hidayah), there was only one day when I woke up to upload a picture (uncovered) on IG but felt guilty. When I’ve decided to wear a hijab, I don’t want to delay because I don’t know if such feelings will come again or not,” he said to mStar.
Shasha shared that when met at the press conference of the serial drama Project: Exit at Dadi Cinema, Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur last night.
In the meantime, Shasha told her that she had actually been intending to cover her aurat perfectly for a long time. The desire is often delayed because the change is not done wholeheartedly and will return to the original image.
“I’ve had my mind set for a long time, but I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to do something halfway. So I went to religion class and understood why it is necessary to cover the aurat, who is our aurat for. I don’t want to do it to get people’s praise, what I do now is to follow the command of Allah SWT,” he said.
Talking more about the changes made, Shasha described her as if she had died and came back to life and felt like a new person.

“Alhamdulillah (permanence), I really hope that God will not lose that feeling,” he said.
