Singer Shila Amzah’s mesmerizing performance on the semi-final stage of the program Singing With Legends managed to captivate the audience in China.
Either way, Shila or Nurshahila Amir Hamzah, 34, created a record of her own when her performance gained almost 150,000 total ‘likes’ on the Weibo page. What is interesting, the vote was obtained in less than 15 minutes.
Appearing as the contestant with the highest votes, Shila expressed gratitude and was moved by the support shown by her fans.
“I felt like crying and was very moved when I found out about this. Thank you for your support all this time,” he said through the program on Sunday night.
Through the semi-final stage, Shila challenged herself to sing two mandarin songs namely Ru Guo Ni Ye Ting Shuo and A Chu Gu Niang together with the native singer of the country, Zhang Yuan.
Weibo is a popular social media site in China and has the same microblogging functionality as Facebook, Instagram and X.
Previously, Shila was crowned the weekly champion thus qualifying herself to compete in the final stage of the competition.
At the beginning of last September, Shila announced that she would compete in a television program in China Singing With Legends sixth season.
This program is Shila’s third participation in the great wall country after winning the Asian Wave program in 2012. – Agency
