Famous singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza expressed her gratitude and was moved when her name was once again listed in The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims 2025 edition.
Siti or Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, 45, said that the award motivated her to contribute more actively to the development of the Islamic world.
“Alhamdulillah I am grateful and moved when listed in The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims. This is an appreciation that makes me think what else can be done to contribute to the religion and the Islamic world even in the art category,” he said mStar.
Siti shared the matter when met at the concert press conference The Journey of Music which was held in the capital yesterday evening.
In the meantime, Siti is confident that the recognition was also given for her commitment in extending humanitarian aid through the Nurjiwa Foundation. Siti explained that the foundation she developed with her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Jiwa, is also active in humanitarian missions in Palestine.
“I think it has something to do with what my husband and I do at Yayasan Nurjiwa. We are indeed working hard to help the victims in Palestine and also Malaysians who are affected by natural disasters,” he said.
Commenting on aid to the victims of terrorism by Zionists, Siti told the foundation that until now it is still continuing its mission in the form of providing food and necessities for the residents of the Gaza Strip.
“I have a responsibility there for my adopted children. The Nurjiwa Foundation is also active in Palestine where teachers who are unable to teach volunteer to distribute food every day. If you look on Instagram how we donate food to the people of Gaza every day,” he said.
For the record, this is Siti’s tenth year listed in The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims. for the art and culture category since 2016.
In another development, Siti will share the stage with Judika through a concert The Journey of Sound which will take place at Stadium Merdeka on December 14 next. Sharing her excitement, Siti described the opportunity to be reunited with Judika on the same stage as a blessing since she also admires the Indonesian singer. – Agency
