BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 11 – The Magistrate’s Court last Monday sentenced two Malaysian citizens, Ting Hong Moi and Li Shiang Tai, for a series of immigration offenses and charges related to smuggling.
Magistrate Syaffina binti Shahif sentenced Ting to two years in prison and a fine of $6,000, or six months in prison if he fails to pay the fine while Li was fined $46,000 with the option of serving 17 months in prison if the fine is not paid.
