SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — When residents plan on doing or having work done around their home, they should take a moment to inquire if a city permit is needed. If not, a heavier fine could await.

City Council, during its meeting Monday (Sept. 9) approved an ordinance that will increase the fine if a resident foregoes the permitting process when planning such work as adding a new driveway, roof or front steps.
