LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Jaden Woods could not contain his laughter about it. St. Edward defensive coordinator Pete Pappas hollered all week about how Cincinnati Elder had scored on its first possession every year against the Eagles since 2017.
It hit their coach, who has been in charge of St. Edward’s defense throughout that time, and he wanted to make sure his players knew it.
