LAKEWOOD, Ohio — First Federal Lakewood Stadium should live up to its nickname of the “Madhouse on Madison” on Friday night when Massillon comes up from Stark County to take on top-ranked St. Edward.
The Eagles (3-1), who are No. 1 in the cleveland.com Top 25, also are the three-time defending OHSAA Division I state football champions. Massillon (3-1) is the defending Division II state champ. It’s the first time defending champs in Ohio’s two biggest divisions have squared off since 2017, when Cincinnati St. Xavier blew out Cincinnati La Salle, 42-7, after they took crowns the previous year.
