Brandenburg’s Finance Minister Katrin Lange (SPD) has lost her direct mandate in the state elections in Brandenburg to the AfD candidate Torsten Arndt. According to the state election commission, Lange received 33.2 percent in the Prignitz II / Ostprignitz-Ruppin II constituency, while Arndt did significantly better with 36.2 percent, improving his result from 2019.
