Stolen pellet gun is tied to report of vehicle damage: Bainbridge Township police blotter

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Theft, Market Place Drive:

Detained by Target store security 3:35 p.m. Sept. 24, a Solon woman, 50, is accused of stealing merchandise valued at $200. The items were found in her purse. She attempted to walk out of the store without paying for the items. Police charged her with theft.

Theft, Market Place Drive:

On Sept 17 police received video evidence from Walmart of an 11 p.m. July 12 theft of a $43.56 pellet gun and a $34.60 BB gun and ammunition for both. One of those guns was likely used by the subjects to shoot out the passenger side window of a parked vehicle owned by another shopping center employee. The two subjects had been employed at the center’s Walmart store but had simply stopped going to work sometime before the incident. Once identified by police, an officer visited the home of one suspect, a 19-year-old man, who admitted to the theft of the BB gun, but denied shooting out the vehicle window. The investigation continues. Both subjects face charges for theft.
