Storm Track 3 Forecast: Above average temps for the week, sunny skies continue

Warm and windy conditions this evening bring continued fire weather concerns for parts of the Sunflower State. Please avoid any outdoor burning this evening.

Storm Track 3 Forecast: Above average temps for the week, sunny skies continue

Winds relax and temperatures cool overnight. We will see lows in the 40s and 50s by daybreak tomorrow with clear, starry skies overhead.

Temperatures will warm tomorrow thanks to southerly winds. Highs will range from the upper 70s to the mid-80s across the state with plenty of sunshine.

Our next chance for moisture is a meager one. A few spotty showers will be possible across southcentral Kansas early Tuesday morning. Rain will be more of a miss than a hit and those who see showers will not see much in terms of totals.

Temperatures soar through the workweek with highs back towards the 90s by the weekend. High pressure stays in control keeping us sunny and warm through next weekend.

Turning to the tropics, Hurricane Milton is expected to strengthen as it tracks east in the Gulf of Mexico. Landfall is expected in Florida sometime on Wednesday as a major hurricane.
