Spotty showers have tracked through western Kansas for the last 24 hours, bringing much-needed rainfall to the Sunflower State. Only a limited area saw rainfall, and those who did only saw trace amounts.

Storm Track 3 Forecast: Toasty temps tomorrow, rain to kick off the workweek

Moisture will stay on the Colorado side of the state line tonight. A few isolated showers could cross into western Kansas but the majority of the region will remain dry tonight.

Temperatures stay mild through the start of Sunday. Temperatures will quickly climb through the afternoon as winds reamin out of the south.

Most of the state will flirt with highs in the upper 70s with a few hitting 80 degrees. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day with southwest Kansas seeing increased rain chances during the evening.

A low-pressure system is slowly tracking toward Kansas and will be the driving force behind rainfall for the start of the week. It has put on the brakes and will arrive in western Kansas by tomorrow night. Showers and storms will track into the region with this system.

Scattered showers and storms will push across the Colorado state line in southwest Kansas by tomorrow evening. Winds stay strong out of the south, helping pull moisture into the region.

Rainfall will become more widespread through early Monday morning. Rainy rumbles will be around for the morning commute across the western half of the state.

Rain continues to march east by Monday afternoon with showers arriving in central Kansas. Showers will continue through the evening, clearing out by Tuesday.

Temperatures stay warm through the start of the week as winds remain strong out of the south through Tuesday. A weak cold front will arrive midweek, bringing a return to near-seasonal temperatures by Thursday before we heat back up by next weekend.

October remains toasty through the beginning of next week with temperatures trending well above the seasonal norm. This will be the case through the end of the month, leading to warm trick-or-treating conditions across the Sunflower State.
