BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 29 – A total of 264 students who followed the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Education Intervention Program (PIP) tuition class project in eight centers across the country attended the Sunat Hajat Prayer Meeting at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kiarong, today.
The ceremony run by the Foundation is specifically for students who will be sitting public exams this year, aiming to seek blessings and spiritual strength in preparing for the exams.
Present as the guest of honor was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, who is also a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Foundation’s Assistance Research Committee.
Yayasan’s PIP tuition classes focus on core subjects with the objective of helping students achieve excellent results, thereby opening up opportunities for them to continue their studies to a higher level.
In addition, the compulsory subjects for the Religious Primary Schools Certificate Examination (SSSRU) are also included through the Tahsin Project, as part of the program.
The ceremony began with the Sunat Hajat Prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Yasin in large numbers, as well as the recitation of the Examination Prayer led by the Mosque Affairs Officer, Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin.
This year, 148 students will sit for the Primary School Assessment (PSR), 65 students will sit for the GCE ‘O’ Level Examination, while another 51 will sit for the SSSRU Examination.
