Hurricane Milton hit the west coast of Florida on Wednesday night, just weeks after the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
“This donation will help the community rebuild their lives, providing food, clean water and essential supplies to those affected by this devastating storm. Thank you, Taylor, for being with us in our efforts to end hunger and help communities in need,” said Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot in a statement on the X platform.
The donation follows after US music star Dolly Parton donated US$1 million to the Mountain Ways Foundation to provide immediate relief to flood victims affected by Hurricane Helene.
The 34-year-old singer has a history of supporting fundraising efforts, including donating to 1,400 Trussell food banks in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and London – the cities where his record tour, Eras Tour, took place this summer. – Named
