Television: Sport as a reality show: “Exatlon” comes to Germany

The sports reality show “Exatlon” is coming to Germany. The format, which is already on television in the USA, Mexico and Hungary, brings together stars and starlets from the world of sports in the Dominican Republic so that they can solve sporting challenges there. It starts next Monday (September 16) on Sport1, as the TV station announced. “Exatlon” will then be broadcast there Monday to Friday at 8:15 p.m. “Numerous athletes and celebrities will meet up to push themselves to the limit in two teams in the toughest competition in the world.”

Among those taking part are basketball player and former RTL “Bachelor” Andrej Mangold, boxer Christina Hammer, ex-gymnast Kim Bui and handball player Eric Sindermann (“Ex on the Beach”) as well as YouTuber and Tiktoker JamooTv. “The participants compete in a series of grueling obstacle courses that test their physical and emotional strength,” says the broadcaster. Sport1 promises “intense physical challenges with captivating storytelling” in its press release. The moderator is Jochen Stutzky.
