YEREVAN, AUGUST 15, ARMENPRESS. Tennis player Elina Avanesyan, playing under the flag of Armenia, continues her successful performances in the tournament in Cincinnati.
According to “Armenpress”, in the second round of the women’s singles match of the Cincinnati Masters tournament in the USA, Avanesyan competed with Elena Ostapenko representing Latvia. Avanesyan won after three sets in the match that lasted for about two hours, with the score 2:6, 6:2, 6:2.
Avanesyan was born in Pyatigorsk, Russia in 2002. Her highest WTA ranking was No. 60 in February 2024. Avanesyan started playing under the flag of Armenia in August 2024.
