The Longhorns (6-0, 2-0 SEC) enter into this colossal showdown with all the momentum as they sit atop the AP poll. Texas blew out Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry, holding the Sooners to 237 yards of total offense.

Texas has outscored its opponents 259-38. It has six wins by 19 or more points and averages 43.2 points per game, which is seventh in the nation.

After missing two games with an oblique injury, junior gunslinger Quinn Ewers made his return to the Red River Rivalry and has amassed 890 yards and nine touchdowns with three interceptions in four games this season. His 82.9 QBR is the 12th-highest in the nation.

Junior receiver Isaiah Bond is questionable after sustaining an ankle injury in the Red River Rivalry. He has racked up 21 receptions for 369 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 17.6 yards per reception.

Versatile junior running back Jaydon Blue has been potent in the Longhorns’ backfield, averaging 61 carries for 268 yards and four touchdowns. He also has tabbed 14 receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown.

Ewers’ offensive line is one of the best in the country, featuring the junior tandem of Kelvin Banks Jr. and Cameron Williams, who have only allowed one pressure and zero sacks on 322 combined pass blocking snaps.

The Longhorns defense continues to impress, leading the nation in points allowed per game (6.3) and yards allowed per game (229.7). They caused double-digit negative plays enroute to five sacks against Oklahoma. The unit will be tested against easily their most skilled quarterback assignment thus far.

Sophomore linebacker Anthony Hill provides showstopping play with 19 solo tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and one interception. Freshman linebacker Colin Simmons has flashed with 15 solo tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble.

Texas has won 11 consecutive games at home.

The Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1) are looking to shake up the standings with a marquee victory after a head-scratching defensive performance in their previous game against Mississippi State. Georgia has won two consecutive games after they were upended by Alabama on Sept. 28.

The offense is guided by senior quarterback Carson Beck, who has thrown for 1,818 yards and 15 touchdowns with a 67.9% completion percentage while also tossing five interceptions. He’ll test a Texas secondary that has feasted on poor quarterback play to this point.

Beck’s go-to target is senior Arian Smith, who has garnered 23 receptions for 412 yards and three touchdowns. Junior receiver Dillon Bell is also viable with 23 receptions for 298 yards and four touchdowns.

Junior running back Trevor Etienne has tallied 63 carries and 365 yards with four touchdowns for a Bulldogs ground game that has been searching for answers.

In a shift from normalcy, Georgia is outscoring their opposition by just 10.6 points per game.

Senior offensive lineman Tate Ratledge is questionable to play (ankle surgery). He has missed the last three games with knee and ankle injuries. Georgia will also be without senior linebacker Smael Mondon Jr. (lower body injury) for a third consecutive game.

Built as a powerhouse coming into the season, the Bulldogs’ defense has shown some signs of wear and tear, allowing 312.5 yards per game. They also allow 17.2 points per game. A majority of that damage came from Alabama and Mississippi State.

Led by junior defensive back Malaki Starks, the Bulldogs will be eager to return to the field after a frustrating outing against an inferior SEC bottom-dweller. Starks has 21 solo tackles and one interception. Sophomore linebacker Raylen Wilson has gathered 14 tackles with 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble.

In the last 54 games, Georgia has not lost to anyone except Alabama. They have won 16 of their last 17 road games.

It’s the sixth meeting between the two programs. Texas leads the all-time series, 4-1. The last meeting was in the 2019 Sugar Bowl with the Longhorns downing the Bulldogs, 28-21.
