BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 17 – Following a complaint about the type of brush Lint Remover has been positively identified as being made of pig hair and ordered to be isolated from sale in public places immediately.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) through the Halal Food Control Division, the Syariah Affairs Department has received a complaint about the brush and has sent the brush to the Scientific Services Department, Ministry of Health for analysis.
The separation of the brush is intended for the benefit of the Muslim community in Brunei Darussalam, the Sharia Affairs Department advises owners and managers of business premises to separate the brush from sale in public places.
In the meantime, Muslim users in this country are advised not to buy and use the brush.
KHEU would like to remind owners, managers, operators, traders, suppliers and importers of products and consumer goods in this country to always be vigilant and be more sensitive to imported products and consumer goods that will be sold to the public in their respective supermarkets or shops to ensure that is halal, pure and not mixed with non-halal products.
This is to safeguard the welfare of the Muslim community in this country from being caught in taking and using products and consumables that are not halal.
