The ceremony was held to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad SAW

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 9 SEPT – The celebration of Maulidur Rasul SAW continues to be celebrated throughout the country with various dikir ceremonies and religious activities as a sign of the love of Muslims for the great leader of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

In the Brunei and Muara Districts, chants in conjunction with the celebration of the Prophet’s Maulidur SAW echoed in Nurul Iman Palace yesterday which was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) and led by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Director Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.

The ceremony started with Fardu Isyak prayers in congregation, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the holy verses of the Quran. The ceremony was also graced with a tazkirah titled Laughter style of the Prophet SAW which was delivered by Awang Salihin bin Haji Samra.

The dikir reading begins with Dikir Assalammualaika and continues with several prayers including Dikir Khairuman, Dikir Bisyahrin and Selawat Tafrijiyyah.

The ceremony ended with the reading of Doa Dikir and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Meanwhile, at Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah MosqueKampung Sungai Akar, a total of 50 participants consisting of a delegation from the Ministry of Development and the departments under it attended the dikir ceremony in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul yesterday.

Present as guest of honor and leading the delegation was the Minister of Development, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid.

Also present were senior officials and staff of the Ministry of Development and the departments under it.

The ceremony began with congregational Fardu Maghrib prayer followed by the recitation of Dikir Syarafil ‘Anam before continuing with congregational Isyak prayer and Dikir Qiam.

The purpose of the event was to commemorate the birth of the Prophet SAW and foster love for him through the practice of salawat and zikr, in addition to strengthening friendships between participants.

The group is scheduled to continue the dikir ceremony at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong, on September 12.

Meanwhile, in Tutong District, Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque, Kampung Sengkarai, also organized the Ihya Maulidur Rasul Ceremony for Tutong District Mosque Muslim Guidance Classwhich aims to strengthen the teachings of Islam and commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Muslim Affairs Division, the Mosque Affairs Department, the Tutong District Mosque Affairs Office, and the mosque maintenance committee.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the wife of the Honorable Minister of Religious Affairs, Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi.

In addition to increasing salawat and remembrance, this event aims to promote the culture of Dikir Brunei among Muslim women as well as strengthen the relationship between members of the Muslimah Guidance Class and members of the takmir committee.

Also present at the ceremony were special guests, officers and female staff of the Tutong District Religious Affairs Office, as well as teaching staff and mosque Muslims from all over the Tutong District.
