BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 10 OCT – The Islamic Da’wah Center, through the Division of Mualaf Development (Mualaf Education) and the District Da’wah Unit held the 199th (Male) and 200th (Female) Serial Muallaf Basic Guidance Scheme at the Islamic Da’wah Center, Pulaie this morning.
With the participation of approximately 156 participants consisting of 48 people from Brunei and Muara Districts, 36 people from Tutong District, 36 people from Belait District and 36 people from Temburong District, the scheme was held simultaneously for 14 days from October 8 to October 23, except on sunday.
For Brunei and Muara Districts, the scheme is held at the Darul Huda Building, the Islamic Dakwah Center, while in Tutong District, the session for female participants will take place at the Tutong District Dakwah Unit Office, and male participants will attend the program at Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain Religious School.
While in Belait District, this program will be held at the Belait District Dakwah Unit Office, while in Temburong District, the session will take place at the Temburong District Dakwah Unit Office.
Throughout the scheme, the participants were exposed to the basic knowledge of Fardhu ‘Ain and Fardhu Kifayah such as Iqra’, Memorization, Tauhid, Fiqh, Practical Worship, and many more by using an interactive and flexible approach and discussion with the participants.
Among the objectives of the scheme is to provide guidance to converts in refining and improving Islamic religious knowledge, especially in the field of aqeedah, worship and morals.
In an effort to protect and preserve the interests of converts, the Islamic Dakwah Center also provides various guidance programs for converts, namely Islamic Introduction Guidance, Basic Guidance Scheme (Malay & English), Advanced Guidance Scheme I and Advanced Guidance Scheme II. Mualaf Guidance Classes are also held weekly in all four districts.
