Mr. Mehta, before you graduated from college in the late 1990s, you had started a promising tech career in Silicon Valley. Today, you are completely dedicated to the topic of selflessness. How did this change come about?
I’m originally from India. When I was 13, I moved to the US with my parents. I grew up in Silicon Valley, at a time when the Internet was becoming big. I saw this catastrophic greed in the Internet bubble. At the same time, I saw a lot of creativity there and the desire to make the world a better place. I wondered how to channel this energy and motivation.
