TUTONG, 24 OCT – Five engines from Lamunin Fire Station and Tutong Fire Station rushed to the scene of the fire at Batu 18 Electric Sub-Station, Tutong, as soon as they received an emergency call at 8:58 am today.
As soon as they arrived at the scene, firefighters immediately acted to extinguish the fire involving an equipment at the station using a jet foam of nine barrels, and the fire was brought under control in two minutes.
The cause of the fire and losses are still under investigation, while no injuries or casualties were reported during the incident.
The firefighting operation was led by Senior Firefighter No. 9 Azamain bin Haji Abdul Fattah.
Present during the operation, Commanding Officer of Operations Branch E, SSFR Haji Afiq bin Haji Julah, Station Commander Tutong Fire Station ASFR Hajah Siti Alam binti Haji Ali, Station Commander Lamunin Fire Station ASFR Nur Halimatul Halimah binti Abdullah Chin.
