“The Girl Who Wasn’t Dead” premieres today, Saturday, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. Eastern on Lifetime. It stars Lyndsy Fonseca and Emma Tremblay.

Based on real-life events, Fonseca plays Carrie, a mother who refuses to believe the worst after her teenage daughter Erica, played by Tremblay, disappears. Believed to be the victim of a local serial killer, Erica miraculously shows up, still very much alive, years later at her own murder trial. It turns out she chose to live in seclusion with her older boyfriend whom she was not allowed to see.
